What the audit can tell you
The free audit is an automated homepage checklist. It is useful for finding items to investigate; it is not a measurement of lost revenue, a Google ranking score or a prediction that an AI assistant will recommend you.
What is checked
The scanner requests your homepage and selected linked resources, then inspects the returned HTML, metadata, headings, crawl instructions, contact links and other signals. It may request public speed data. It does not crawl every page or reproduce Google's rendering and indexing systems.
How to interpret a finding
- A missing meta description is worth reviewing, but Google primarily generates snippets from page content and may use a description when helpful.
- A blocked or unreadable scanner request is an unknown result, not proof that Google is blocked.
- Missing review markup does not establish that search-result stars are available or that adding markup will produce them.
- There is no required word count, blog frequency or llms.txt file that guarantees rankings.
- The numerical score uses our own checklist weights. Different tools and repeat scans can produce different results.
Free findings and optional help
Initial findings are available without an email. Providing your email unlocks the full findings on-screen and requests a report with personal recommendations. Reports are normally sent within 24 hours; that is our usual turnaround, not a guaranteed deadline. The request is not a newsletter subscription.
Evidence before implementation
We confirm important findings manually, agree priorities and show the proposed work before making changes. Search Console and business enquiry data, where available, are better measures of outcomes than an audit score alone.
